SSL-Zertifikate – warum Sie jetzt handeln sollten

Seit dem 25.Mai greifen europaweit die Vorschriften der DSGVO (Datenschutzgrundverordnung).

Spätestens seit diesem Zeitpunkt ist eine SSL-Verschlüsselung für alle Formulare ihrer Websites oder Onlineshops (§ 13 Abs. 7 TMG) gesetzlich vorgeschrieben.

Was bedeutet SSL?

Bei SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) handelt es sich um ein Protokoll, das sicherstellt, dass die Daten zwischen dem Web-Browser des Nutzers und der besuchten Website (https://) auf dem Server des Anbieters verschlüsselt übertragen werden. Somit können personenbezogene Daten nicht mitgelesen werden. Da Websites ohne SSL-Verschlüsselung diese Daten in Klartext übertragen, verstoßen sie gegen geltendes Recht.

Seiten, die kein SSL-Zertifikat eingebunden haben, werden zum Einen von Suchmaschinen schlechter bewertet, zum Anderen bei vielen Web-Browsern mit einer Warnmeldung versehen:
